Yesterday looked so pretty from my balcony that it gave me the boost I needed to complete my chores, study Chinese, and practice using our filming equipment.

Later on I went out to one of my favorite boba spots in Chinatown.

I don't practice my Mandarin with the shop owners in Chinatown because the majority of them speak Cantonese. The younger generations that are my age range hang out it San Gabriel / Alhambra spots. However, I get shy and end up ordering stuff in English. ;___; It's also a little drive from Downtown and I was craving Bubble U!  

Bubble U opened about two years ago and it attracts a lot of youth that still live in this antique area. The ambience makes you feel like you're sitting in a Chinese drama (and they play shows on one of their TV's!) The music is light / comforting and the staff has a welcoming / homely energy.

When you order, the staff asks the level of sweetness for your drink and what kind of sweetener you'd like to use. My go-to sweetener is honey. A lot of places don't give enough TLC to their boba pearls but Bubble U makes them just right! The milk tea itself is perfect. My favorite drink is Rose Milk Tea. Gregorio's favorite is Honey Lavender Milk Tea. They also sell delicious macarons that I forgot to take a photo of. :< (next time!)

Ayer el día se veía tan bonito desde mi balcón que me dio el impulso que necesitaba para completar mis tareas, estudiar chino y practicar el uso de nuestro equipo de filmación.

Más tarde, salí a uno de mis lugares favoritos de boba en Chinatown.

No practico mi mandarín con los dueños de las tiendas en Chinatown porque la mayoría de ellos hablan cantonés. Las generaciones más jóvenes que tienen mi edad pasan por los sitios de San Gabriel / Alhambra. Sin embargo, me da vergüenza y termino ordenando cosas en inglés. ; ___; También está de una distancia en automóvil del centro de la ciudad y ese día yo quería Bubble U.

Bubble U se inauguró hace aproximadamente dos años y atrae a muchos jóvenes que aún viven en esta zona antigua. El ambiente te hace sentir como si estuvieras sentado en un drama chino (¡y tocan programas en uno de sus televisores!) La música es ligera / reconfortante y los empleados tienen una energía amable y hogareña.

Cuando ordenas, te pregunta el nivel de dulzura para tu bebida y qué tipo te gustaría usar. Mi endulzante preferido es la miel. Muchos lugares no dan suficiente atención a sus perlas de boba, ¡pero Bubble U las hace perfectas! El té de leche en sí es perfecto. Mi bebida favorita es Rose Milk Tea. El favorito de Gregorio es el té de leche con lavanda y miel. También tienen macorons deliciosos pero se me olvidó tomar fotos. :< (¡para la próxima!)
