The latest release from Microsoft of the Xbox One S got my inner child in an excited trance. Being able to connect the television, cable, BluRay, and Netflix; eliminating all the controls, I was sold! It was the perfect early birthday gift for both my husband and I (26th of September/TODAY and 7th of October). After purchasing the Halo edition (includes Halo 1 - 5) a couple of weeks ago, I decided to test it out and give it a quick review.
SIZE:
The Xbox One S is much smaller than the Xbox One and its competition the Play Station 4. It leaves more than enough room on my shelf for books and decorations while giving off a stylish and minimalistic appearance. It's also pretty lightweight and easy to place almost anywhere. The new controllers are cordless and compatible for PC gaming (the grip is also more comfortable). I like connecting my headphones because it puts me in my own personal bubble without disturbing my husband. However, I'd prefer the headphone jack to be at the top of the controller since it bends the wire when it brushes by my "amazing abs"/tummy. :P
GRAPHICS:
Having 4k image quality with BluRay and HDR (High Dynamic Range), connecting it to our 4k television made it worth every cent! Everything is so clear (¿what pixels?) and the main menu page is also better than the Xbox 36O. As far as games go, I've had no problem with the quality in graphics during gameplay and everything is spot on. Since I can also connect my Netflix account, I love watching my favorite series, "Narcos"on it and anything with 1O8Op quality is boosted to 4k!
GAMEPLAY:
The gameplay is superb! Some Xbox 36O games are even compatible. Although I'm still on Halo 1, I did some quick run-through levels with them all and so far no freezing or buffering. Playing live with other people is also fun and easy to control. Street Fighter wise: I was bummed out at first to hear that Street Fighter V will not be released for the Xbox One or One S. Then I remembered how they took out iconic characters such as Blanka, Sagat, Guile, E. Honda, & Balrog so I got over it. I'm sure I can wait for Street Fighter VI!
MEMORY SPACE:
The Xbox One S Halo edition comes with over 5OO gigabytes of memory but you can always purchase more. Since I like to keep my gaming organized, this is enough memory space for me at the moment. If you're looking for heavy amounts of memory, there is another Xbox One S with TWO TERABYTES of memory storage! They basically have every type of person covered.
Is it a good idea to buy the Xbox One S instead of the Xbox One or PS4? The truth is that this console is worth it. If you're looking for something with decent price ranges and high quality in graphics and design, then the Xbox One S is the perfect option.

El último lanzamiento por Microsoft del Xbox One S me tuvo en una trance excitante. Con el poder de conectarlo a la televisión, cable, BluRay, y Netflix; eliminando los controles que necesito, me tuvo vendida! Era el regalo perfecto de cumpleaños para mi marido y yo (26 de Septiembre/HOY y 7 de Octubre). Después de comprar la Edición de Halo (incluye Halo 1 - 5) hace un par de semanas, decidí estrenarlo y darle una revisión rápida.
TAMAÑO:
El Xbox One S es definitivamente más pequeño que el Xbox One y su competencia el Play Station 4. Deja más que suficiente espacio en mi buró para poner libros y decoraciones mientras que emite una apariencia elegante y minimalista. También es muy liviano y fácil de colocar en casi cualquier lugar. Los controladores son sin cordón y compatibles para juegos en la computadora (el agarre también está más cómodo). Me gusta conectar mis audífonos, ya que me pone en mi propia burbuja personal sin molestar a mi marido. Sin embargo, prefería que la conexión de los audífonos estuviera en la parte superior del controlador, ya que se dobla el alambre cada vez que toca mi "increíble abdomen"/barriga. :P
GRÁFICOS:
Teniendo una calidad 4k con BluRay, y HDR, conectándolo a nuestra televisión 4k valió cada centavo! Todo es tan claro (¿qué pixeles?) Y la página del menú también es mejor que la del Xbox 36O. Me gustaría que tengan opciones de cabello largo para los avatares personalizables, pero ahora tienen la opción de elegir un icono. Con los videojuegos, no he tenido problema con la calidad de los gráficos mientras que juego y todo se ve perfecto. Debido a que también puedo conectar mi cuenta de Netflix, me encanta ver mi serie favorita, "Narcos", en él y todo que es 1080p en calidad se mejora a 4k!
JUEGO / GAMEPLAY:
¡La experiencia es excelente! Algunos juegos de Xbox 36O aún son compatibles. Aunque todavía estoy en Halo 1, hice algunos niveles con los otro cuatro y hasta ahora sin congelación o almacenamiento en búfer. Jugar en vivo con otras personas también es divertido y fácil de controlar. Sobre Street Fighter: Al principio me desanimé cuando supe que Street Fighter V no será lanzado para el Xbox One o One S. Luego me recordé que sacaron personajes icónicos como Blanka, Sagat, Guile, E. Honda, y Balrog, y lo superé. Estoy segura que puedo esperar al Street Fighter VI!
ESPACIO DE MEMORIA:
El Xbox One S edición Halo viene con 5OO gigabytes de memoria, pero siempre se puede comprar más. Siendo que me gusta tener todos mis videojuegos organizados, esto es suficiente espacio para mí en este momento. Si estas buscando algo con más espacio de memoria, hay otro Xbox One con DOS TERABYTES de memoria! Básicamente tienen algo para cada persona específica.
Es bueno idea comprar el Xbox One S que el Xbox One o PS4? La verdad es que sí es una consola que vale la pena. Si buscas algo de precios decentes con calidad buena de gráficos y estilo, el Xbox One S es la opción perfecta.
